"I am 59 years old. I am very active. However, I have always had a hard time controlling my weight. Back in September, I decided to visit Fresh Fit Meals in Urbandale. While there I inquired about a program, they had to help people lose weight. I was introduced to Becca. She sat down with me and listened to what I wanted to accomplish and got a good idea of what a typical day is like for me regarding exercise etc. With this information, she put together a plan, based on my caloric needs, that would help me lose fat, while maintaining muscle mass. I found this interesting as in the past, I would only focus on overall weight loss. I was a bit skeptical, as I have tried similar things like this in the past and the problem was that the food was just ok. Hard to stick with for the long haul. (time needed to accomplish the goal). To my surprise, the food here is actually very good. As with all things, there are some meals I like better than others, but I have not tried anything that I just don't like. The fact that the food is so good, really helps me in sticking with the program. Fresh Fit Meals has a machine that measures body composition. After just 5 weeks in, I have lost 13 pounds, my muscle mass percentage has increased slightly, and my body fat percentage has decreased significantly. I have notice that I am able to hold a higher level of intensity in my training for a longer period of time. I am also learning "portion control". Portion control is not a diet but a lifestyle change for me. Overall, I FEEL GREAT!
Becca has done an excellent job of designing a meal plan that not only fits my lifestyle but is allowing me to achieve my desired weight loss goal at a rate that is very comfortable for me.
